Your Kurious by Kay candle should smell amazing, burn beautifully and be enjoyed safely. A little candle care goes a long way.

Before You Light

• Remove all packaging before lighting your candle.
• Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, children, pets and anything flammable.
• Do not burn a candle if the glass is cracked, chipped or otherwise damaged.
• Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch.

While Your Candle Is Burning

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep the candle away from curtains, paper, bedding and other flammable materials.
• For the best first burn, allow the melted wax to reach close to the edges of the container. This helps encourage an even melt pool and reduces tunneling.
• Avoid excessively long burn sessions. Extinguish the candle after approximately 4 hours and allow it to cool completely before relighting.
• If the flame becomes unusually large, flickers excessively or produces heavy soot, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool and trim the wick before relighting.

After Each Burn

• Make sure the flame is completely extinguished.
• Allow the wax and container to cool before touching, moving or covering the candle.
• Trim the wick again before your next burn to help maintain a cleaner, more controlled flame.
• Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and other debris.

Know When to Stop

Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container. Burning a candle with too little wax remaining can cause the container to overheat.
